Smoothies are a great way to get nutrition FAST! However you have to make sure you are not filling them with unnessecary and unhealthy
ingredients as you can very quickly make a healthy drink into a drink full of fat and calories.

At Butlers Body in Balance we are all about keeping things SIMPLE (yes the trusty K.I.S.S method) so below are a few of our favourite tried and true recipies for you to try and hopefully enjoy.

Green Smoothies are a brilliant way to eat your greens!!

Bought to popular attention by Victoria Boutenko, Green Smoothies are a blend of fresh fruit and greens to make a delicious and nutritious drink.

The health benifits of green smoothies are numerous but everybody has their own reasons for embracing the green smoothie lifestyle.

 Eating healthy and feeling good does not need to be complicated or time-consuming. Green smoothies are simple, easy to make and taste GREAT!!

GREEN MACHINE

1 ripe banana

1 ripe mango (seed removed!!)

1 large scoop of natural pea protein powder (available to buy in the clinic)

1/2 bunch of spinach (about 4 leaves)

1/2 a bunch of kale (about 4 leaves)

Handful of grapes (fresh or frozen)

1/2 cup of pineapple (not tinned)

Place all ingredients into blender

Fill with 1 1/2 cup water & 1 cup coconut water

BLEND till smooth

Drink immediately or will keep in fridge for up to 3 days.

If you keep it in the fridge it may start to separate so give it a good shake before you drink.

Green-Smoothie-Recipe

BANANA BLAST PROTEIN SMOOTHIE

3 or 4 ripe bananas (depending how big they are)

Handful of natural almonds

6-8 dates (no seeds or you will probably kiss your blender goodbye!)

2 tablespoons of chia seeds

1 large scoop of natural pea protein powder (available to buy in the clinic)

1 large teaspoon of cinnamon powder

1 tray of ice cubes (take them out of the tray please!)

Place all ingredients into blender fill blender with approx 2 cups coconut water

If its too thick then just add more plain water until it reached your desired consistancy.

BLEND till smooth

Drink immediately or will keep in fridge for a day.

TROPICAL BLISS 

1 ripe banana

4 strawberries (green tops attached)

1 kiwi fruit

1 mango

2 passionfruit

1/2 cup of pineapple (not tinned)

1/2 bunch of spinach

1/2 a bunch of kale

2 - 3 cups of filtered water

Place all ingredients into blender 

BLEND till smooth

Drink immediately or will keep in fridge for up to 3 days.

SUPER ICED COFFEE FOR TWO

1/2 cup rolled oats (or 1/4 cup of almonds if you want to make Gluten Free)

2 TBSP Chia Seeds

1 large scoop of natural pea protein powder (available to buy in the clinic)

5-10 Pitted Dates (check for the pits otherwise you will have hard bits in your smoothie and possibly a cracked blender jug)

1 Shot of freshly made espresso (or 1/2 cup cold drip)

1 cup milk / or milk alternative

1 cup of coconut water

1 cup of water

1 tray of ice cubes

Place all ingredients into blender 

BLEND till smooth

Serve as is or over ice

CHRISTMAS CAKE INGREDIENTS

CAKE: Mixed Fruit (sultanas, Apples, Apricots, Dates, Cranberries, Prunes), Flour, Nuttalex, Coconut Sugar, Hazelnuts, Rum, Bitters, Vanilla, Nutmeg, Cinnamon, Cloves, Ginger.

TOPPING: Pecans, Walnuts, Apricot Jam, Lemon
